"From the moment I first heard of RAAM, years ago, I've been intrigued. I didn't expect for the opportunity to race it to arise this year, and to say that I am excited is an understatement. I'm thrilled to be on a team of such inspirational and ambitious people, and am looking forward to contribute my all towards the team goal of winning in the 8-rider category. I hope that some of my experience as a professional road cyclist will bring some value to the squad. I've been training, racing, and living through some pretty wild situations and conditions over the past decade. Although I've never done anything quite like the RAAM, hopefully some of the things that I've learned so far in my career as a pro athlete will be useful on this epic adventure. I'm also excited that the team has decided to use the Sena R1 Evo smart helmets. Being able to seamlessly communicate between riders and staff throughout the race is going to to be a huge asset to us. I'll probably be playing some of my favourite hip hop through my helmet when I'm on the road too!"
