Summer Race Updates
"I had my hopes set a little higher for the National Championships but I let the weather and choice of equipment stop me from riding as technically savy as I wanted at the very end. Beyond that, Nationals is always a bit of a funny race since it's the one event of the year where each team has a different number of riders (some are solo compositions, some have a plethora of racers, and others have a few...). I always find a way to love it for the funny beast it is! The most important thing was feeling that the form was fully there.
Getting back across the pond for the first time in 10 months was also good for me individually. It takes a race to shake out the European cobwebs. Racing to support Brodie Chapman, my Australian teammate was an honour and a thrill. Having my first solid training block at home is now exactly what I need, and I'm looking forward to the next events of the season already."
